What is financial assistance, and do I qualify?

HNSS provides employment and temporary financial assistance to people in need through the provincial program, Ontario Works. How much you receive depends on the size of your family, your basic needs, your income and your willingness to participate in approved activities. You may also qualify for other benefits such as dental care, vision care and a drug card.

To qualify for financial assistance from HNSS, you must be a resident of either Haldimand or Norfolk County. Your income and assets must also meet the eligibility criteria.

Do you want a review of the decision that was made about your financial assistance? Request an internal review.
